The Love City Creatives

The Creatives started on the campus of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where a group of friends came together through ciphers, study sessions, and late night hangouts. Each one carried a gift whether in art, rap, writing, beatmaking, or video production and together we fueled each other’s creativity.

 

Life moved on. We grew up, got married, raised children, traveled the world, and stepped into adulthood. But when COVID shut everything down, our friend Shantnew aka Auntie Shanti created a group chat to keep us connected. That chat became our lifeline hours of laughter, encouragement, and real talk about life and the world around us.

 

When the world reopened, we stayed connected and decided to reunite in Philadelphia. What we discovered was despite time and distance, we were still creating, still performing, still thriving.

 

That’s when we knew it was time to share our journey with the world. The Creatives website and community were born to show that creativity doesn’t fade, it grows. We may be older, but we’re not through yet.
